I had this car two weeks before my 17th Birthday, back in 1963 as an eleven year old banger. I was fortunate enough to be able to keep it all this time although it was laid up from 1976 until the completion of my restoration in 2004, ready for my niece's wedding in 2005.
The colour is near perfect to the original Naples Blue, although now in two-pack (which I believe Austin would have used if it had been available).
During it's lay-up, I missed the deadline to have it put on the the DVLA computer. To cut a long story short, the Austin Counties Car Club helped get it back via a letter from the Motor Vehicle Heritage Trust which stated that the car was displayed on the Carbodies stand at the 1952 Motor Show.
I now believe that it may be the oldest roadworthy example of its type in the world but I am always prepared to be proven wrong !
