Automobile-catalog is a project with the purpose to gather in one place and publish possibly complete information on specifications, technical data and history of all cars manufactured since the characteristic date of 1945. A great majority of data is taken from off-line sources and is first time published on-line.
The idea was born in automotive enthusiasm, but with very practical dimension. The project was launched on-line just in the middle of 2010, but is already visited by five thousand people daily – it makes us believe, that the data we present are needed and appreciated.
There is one special parameter, the answer to the question everyone asks during each discussion about any car – how fast is it ? The accelerations, the quarter-mile time, top speed... how to find it out in case of the cars long ago out of production, the ones nobody ever properly tested ?
This is a task for our own simulation software, called ProfessCars™. This is a piece of sophisticated engineering work, results of calculations are in most cases very accurate. It was tested and calibrated on hundreds of real-life car tests and comparisons.
We are sure it will help to give everyone at least a hint of the feeling, how it is to drive behind a wheel of so many different cars. The feeling until now reserved only for lucky owners of a real vehicles...
Recently we started to publish short articles and stories about the cars of past and present – also the articles contributed. No one knows more about a particular car, than the owner himself or herself. That's why we want to present that first-hand knowledge for a benefit of a whole automotive community. Also Your Knowledge – do not hesitate to contact us.
So, stay with us, show Your Ride to the world,
